The results of the Curly Ancestral DNA testing are posted here. We have a photo study below of Domestic Curlies and BLM Curlies test results as well as results in table format for easy comparison. The results are quite interesting. The download below is a partial list of tested horses, it is always being updated as more horses are tested and added to the database.

If you would like to take part in the study and have your Curly or Curlies tested, download, fill in and print this form below, and send a hair sample along with payment to the office address on the form. You can pay online below or send a check or money order. Also email the office a photo of the Curly being tested. You will be mailed a copy of the results and your horse will be part of the photo study with the Ancestral results when a photo is supplied .

NV, Black Rock East "From a rough estimate, the Black Rock Range and the Black Rock Desert is about 250 miles North and West of Eureka and Austin. Black Rock East is about 120 miles Northwest of Winnemucca, NV. This is really in the middle of Nowhere. There are no towns or roads nearby. This was a very isolated group of horses."
