Membership Benefits
As an ICHO member you have the support of a progressive, like minded board and membership, that puts the welfare of the Curly horse first and foremost.
Research on the Curly horse comes in at the top tier of goals working toward finding out facts about the curly coat and hypoallergenics of Curly horses. ICAMS Inspections for Curlies through NACHIP and ECHR is offered so we can all breed well conformed Curlies today and to work toward breed genesis. These goals are important for the future of the Curly.
ICHO Associations, such as those for saving BLM Curly Mustangs, Curly Ponies and Minis, and Curly Sport Horses, exist for the Curly type enthusiast to help you gather together and communicate with those members who share your interests. From gaited to sport horse, pony to BLM Curlies and Smooth Coats, there is something for everyone. We also have Associations for our Overseas International members.
The ICHO Gazette keeps us updated on latest Curly news, research and offers articles for education and health. We welcome input and articles from our members. The Gazette is published 4 times a year.
Each year we have a Curly photo contest for our yearly ICHO calendar cover. The calendar features members horses and a month spot is available for a fee so you can feature your Curlies, farm or establishment. Each year the calendar focuses on a new theme.
The Show committee offers show awards for participating members and their horses. The Curlies In Action Awards are for Curlies out and about on the trail, going to horse fairs, ranch work, driving, etc. Something for everyone and their Curly horse.
